My mom and I went for dinner and called ahead... read more This restaurant used to be great, but unfortunately, it has declined over the past two years due to staff changes. My mom and I went for dinner and called ahead to inquire about the menu since they were closing at 6 PM. We arrived at 5:30 PM, only to find one of the chefs starting to put food away just as we were about to order. My mom informed him that we were planning to have dinner, but he ignored her and continued clearing the mashed potatoes, vegetables, and more. When the server finally came to take our order, there was hardly anything available because they claimed it was because they were closing soon. It was only 5:30! This is unacceptable. I used to frequent this place regularly, but I won't be returning.

The food was good, but rounding up to a 4 because it's a pretty good value for the amount of food you get. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage with champ and a slice of the Shepards pie. The food certainly wasn't light, but I decided to indulge a little more since it was a holiday. I also got a side of the cole slaw. The corned beef was good, not too fatty. The champ was very rich and buttery. And the shepards pie was good, but the mashed potatoes were a bit drier on this one. The cole slaw was a bit too mayo-heavy for my taste, but that's personal preference. All in all, a pretty good meal!
