Highly recommend for a weekend away where you just want everything to just be taken care off, but still have the home comforts. We stayed for a girls weekend away and it was so lovely, a good mixture of being entertained with cooking lesson and wineries and having a chance to relax together. What M Leask doesn't like about Prodigal Daughter Gourmet Lodge Accomodation And Dining:
Very unpleasant experience. Our booking was cancelled at the last minute by the owner due to alleged overbooking and owner was extremely rude. Very poor customer service throughout Service: 1 View all feedback.
We enjoyed wonderful hospitality and delicious home grown breakfasts with excellent coffee from Rachel! Close yo the town centre and everything you need provided. I would definitely recommend!
The host Rachael is a very nice person and brilliant chef! She serviced us pork belly and the dish was perfect! The rooms were very cozy and beds were comfortable. Every room has an ensuite so you don’t have to share the bathrooms. There is a dog and a cat so be careful for those with allergies.

A truly comfortable, welcoming stay. Rachel, and her lovely ‘Pinot Cottage’ was our calm in the storm after a long, eventful day. We immediately felt relaxed and at home. We loved having communal breakfast each morning with other guests with unique home baked goods from Rachel each morning (date banana scones were a highlight). Rachel is the perfect hostess whilst her trusty three-legged sidekick Mia can’t fail to make anyone smile. ‘Pinot Cottage’ was a self-contained modern one-bedroom apartment separate to the main house with your own bathroom and everything you could need for a short stay. It’s a short walk into Martinborough centre so really well located. Would highly recommend! Our only regret is that we didn’t have the opportunity to sample Rachel’s evening meal.
