Would be great if you do your own home made smoothie especially summer is approaching. Perfect club sandwich! Not many places offer this, so appreciate you still do! View all feedback.
What Chiana S doesn't like about Wine Centre Martinborough:
We were seated outside due to a busy café the day after Toast Martinborough. Unfortunately the wait for our food was crazy and long, when you have a hangover you just want your brunch. Don't drink coffee but my friend said it was not great. Shame because that was what it was renowned for. On the counter were scones and pastries but I chose mince on toast which was really yummy and a generous portion. Next time I'd ha... View all feedback.
My favorite cafe in Martinborough. They vary their menu often, so it is an adventure every time. Great, friendly staff.
Now, once again the SR and I don't agree on the rating of this place. For him, the breakfast he had (NZ style fried breakfast complete with kranskys (odd cheese filled sausages was just OK, but my smashed avocado was one of the best things I have ever had for breakfast and I didn't expect it to be. Perhaps it was the seasoning, as this was a mighty tasty avocado, or the tomatoes, or the deep fried capers (that was a first for me , but the combination presented an extremely tasty breakfast that I hope I can recreate at home. As noted in other reviews, it isn't the fastest service around, but for me, the wait was worth it.
Excellent lunch of linguine with chorizo and prawns. Everything tasted fresh and the service was very friendly. The back patio is a must for sunny days. A great way to compliment wine tasting in Martinborough!
I come here almost every time I visit Martinborough. Medici is reliably good, with good coffee, warm, and a pleasing community bustle. The food is varied, and there are some good options, although the breakfast menu can be a bit tame. Their counter food will suit many tastes but I find it uniformly stodgy, basically flour, sugar, fat with or without meat. Not as imaginative as it could be. Still, their blackboard menu is usually superb, and the coffee gets four-stars too. There's a cosy fireplace in winter, and outdoor dining in summer. All in all this's a good place to visit, with food options for everyone, and a great atmosphere.
The restaurant was full but the friendly maitre'd sat us on the couches brought us drinks while we waited for a table. The atmosphere was fabulous with a pianist playing singing great music and the food was awesome. Would definitely recommend a meal here.
