The restaurant had limited options for those with Coeliac disease, but the staff was very attentive and provided us with the safest choices. What Dave JACKMAN dislikes about Union Square Bistro:
Just plain woeful for a Sunday evening! We are regulars here and for some reason tonight was poor really poor!! Service was non existant! The food was excellent, however too many options from the menu were not available. We dined in the bar side of the hotel, but wished we had actually headed to the restaurant side. The bar was more like a club with music up way too loud. We were seated next to each other but had to... View all feedback.
The restaurant had limited choices for Coeliac diners, but the staff were very accommodating and helped us find the safest options. We enjoyed the grilled halloumi as a starter, followed by the beef fillet and the market catch for our main course. The food was absolutely delicious. Although the portion sizes were on the smaller side and the prices were high, the flavors were divine! I would recommend it if you’re looking to treat yourself!
The menu doesn't have any gluten-free options, but we called ahead, and they assured us they could accommodate our needs. The staff were friendly and recommended which dishes they could prepare safely for those with celiac disease. We started with a delightful ceviche and a pear salad, and then we had what might be the best beef steak we've ever tasted—absolutely incredible. Unfortunately, the desserts (creme brulee and pecan tart) were somewhat disappointing. However, the amazing beef main course made the visit worthwhile. Just a note: there were no gluten-free side dishes available to accompany the mains.
We stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant while searching for dinner options on a late weekday evening. The professional and attentive staff, along with the expertly prepared dishes, truly enhance the fine dining experience.
Disappointing with the meats being over cooked and dry. Dessert were delicious and service was average Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
