Opa Grill - Marshalltown
Opa Grill
Description
Opa! Grill in Marshalltown delivers vibrant Greek and comfort fare—gyros, saganaki, souvlaki, pastitsio and standout pita and tzatziki—served in a warm, casual setting. Patrons praise generous portions, flaky pies, seafood pasta options and quick, friendly service (often owner-involved). Ample seating, reasonable prices and new delivery make it ideal for families, travelers and repeat visits. Minor notes: pastitsio and dill-heavy tzatziki divide opinions, but overall the flavors and hospitality win high marks.

This was my first visit, and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious, the staff were efficient and friendly, and there was ample seating available. Food: 5/5.
We recieved attentive service even though we arrived just before closing. We had the combination plate and it was perfect for the two of us, yummy!Food: 4/5
A little slice of the Mediterranean in central Iowa! Some authentic Greek food and great service!Started off with the Tiropitakia (layers of crispy philo dough filled with feta cheese and herbs) and a bowl of soup (a Lemon Chicke Rice and a creamy sausage version)...I found dipping the Tiropitakia into the creamy soup to be a winner!I ordered the Pastitsio...a Greek Lasagna and Terri ordered the Chicken Souvlaki...Chiken Kabobs. Both were fantastic!I used the Tzatziki sauce that she didn't want on my lasagna...I don't know if that's right or wrong but it sure tasted good!We finished up with their family recipe OPA Stawberry Cheesecake...MMMMMM!!!!Deeeeelicious.....Tons of other menu items that we'll be back to try in the future!I'm trying to figure out how to add some pictures...
The gyro was one of the best I've ever had, and the generous portion of hand-cut French fries was equally tasty, along with the lemonade. Food: 5/5
