**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag at Subway**
Subway has had its share of highs and lows. While some customers appreciate clean environments, friendly staff, and delicious sandwiches made with fresh ingredients, others lament poor service, long wait times, and cleanliness issues. Reports of rude interactions and a lack of staff motivation on busy days have tarnished the experience for some patrons, leading to calls for better management and customer care. However, at its best, Subway provides a welcoming atmosphere, efficient service, and well-prepared meals, appealing to both vegetarians and families alike. Improvements in service and hygiene could enhance future visits significantly.

Great store. They had just finished up with an entire bus full of softball girls. We came in the store was in great shape very clean. The two guys working counter over very nice and respectful. The food was great.
I stopped by for lunch, and the place was absolutely filthy. The glass was dirty, and there was food under the tables. The tongs for the cookies had food residue on them, too. The staff seemed indifferent, almost annoyed that I was there. Ultimately, I decided to leave without ordering anything. I really think the state should inspect this place; it would likely be shut down immediately. They need to hire staff who actually want to work.
If you are unable to complete an online order on time, please inform us. It's quite inconsiderate to keep customers waiting longer than necessary without any acknowledgment or apology. The staff could benefit from additional training in basic courtesy.
I visited the Subway at Nicolas Center because my dad loves it, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The service was speedy, and my dad's sandwich was tasty. The fresh, crunchy vegetables really enhanced it, particularly the bright tomatoes. The staff did an excellent job of keeping the line moving smoothly, which made for a quick visit. Hats off to the Marshalltown Subway at Nicolas Center for keeping their store clean and well-organized! Thank you, Subway. I have to say, if I worked there, I’d be tempted to snag some of that delicious sliced roast and chicken—it looked absolutely mouthwatering!
I had a rather unfortunate experience at this restaurant. When I asked for extra onions, the woman serving me was very rude. She claimed she was too busy to help. When I questioned her disrespectful behavior, she stated that she didn't have time for me. I pointed out that I was the only customer there, yet she insisted that I leave and even threatened to call the police. It was truly unbelievable.
