What Meggie Muller doesn't like about Nick's Cove:
Got a friend's birthday. It was highly recommended, but we were very disappointed. Some food came out cold. There were no clams in the chowder (3 people ordered it and no one got clams). One of the best fish and chips you can enjoy on the West Coast. Local cod with perfectly crispy batter. It's always worth the drive. Also excellent: their cioppino their clam chowder. Definitely come for the seafood. Order from the takeout window and if the weather is good, eat outside! It's worth it. If you're not the one driving, their mixed drinks are excellent. read moreNick's Cove Restaurant received mixed reviews from customers. Some guests were disappointed with the quality of the food, citing issues such as cold dishes, lack of clams in the chowder, and an overabundance of celery in certain dishes. Others, however, raved about the newly renovated cottages, exceptional hospitality, and stunning views. The seafood, particularly the fish and chips, was highly praised by those who enjoyed it, along with the cioppino and clam chowder. The takeout system and outdoor seating option were also highlighted as positives. Overall, Nick's Cove seems to offer a unique dining experience with a beautiful setting, but improvements could be made in terms of food quality and service.
