Their banquet deal is quite good. $25 a head for entree, 4 curries to share, rice, naan, accompaniments and drink each. Just be warned, the curries are a set menu and two of them were quite spicy if you're not used to spicy food. On the whole, the food was all pretty good and I'd go back. View all feedback.
What Friedrich Bechtelar doesn't like about Sweet Chilli:
Awful Indian Food. The place has a take away counter at the front which seems to get reasonable business, so perhaps it is better than the food we had in the sit down restaurant inside We had lamb saag which was really chewy, tough and with bit sof gristle. The sauce was OK but not great and you could taste the frozen spinach in it The menu was also filled with bizarre options such as corn cobs which are not really a... View all feedback.
Saw that sign from the Sydney harbour and been an Indian food loverWe had their Opera Special which is for early dinner Have to be out before 19:00 Menu was elaborated food excellent and price remarkable..We share our table with locals which was cool.Worth stopping to...... Missing it
Good value Indian food with the usual favourites - Butter chicken, plus some lesser known dishes chicken with a yogurt dressing.
I've eaten at Sweet Chilli both at their food court outlet at Marrickville Metro, several times by delivery through Menulog, takeaway pick up and last weekend at the restaurant. I really enjoy most of their dishes. Although most of them are quite spicy (even the Korma). So if you don't like spice stick to the Butter Chicken! The dhal (which I've only had from the foodcourt) is really good. I do have a few issues though. Twice (once via menulog and last Saturday in restaurant) they haven't had chicken tikka available. Given this has been between 8 & 9pm that I've ordered. But still on a Saturday night that should be prepared for later orders considering they advertise their hours as open till 10pm. They always offer to replace it with the "white" chicken tikka. But this so salty and average. Their chicken tikka (the entrée dish) is my favourite and my favourite Indian dish! I can kind of understand when its a home delivery order but I thought when dining in they would actually have or be able to make some fresh. Aside from this and the $3 delivery charge via menulog I like the food. The naan are fresh and delicious and the chicken & beef korma are nice (if a little hot). Its good value but I just wish they would prepare more chicken tikka! They would get a lot of custom from me if it was always available!
Uncomfortable eating experience. Kellner served us in his tracksuit, the staff screamed from the kitchen to the front counter, dirty cups, dirty plates, menu items were not available, every meal was microwelled, the staff was more worried to get their coffee from 7/11, as to serve us. This should only be a take-away load.
I had to eat one of the better food dishes. many meats in my curries and large size is really big. they can see the more criminal they use in their curries and feel as if they put more effect in their cooking
