What Pete Watson likes about Sakae Japanese Kitchen:
A great standard Japanese eatery, and a regular. Not a fancy space - simple and functional, and brightly lit befitting the area. The food is cheap, serves plentiful, variety is OK, and it's all authentic and delicious. Not quite restaurant, not quite izakaya you can make it what you want. Staff (all Japanese, including in the kitchen) are always friendly and happy. A great local. View all feedback. What Roberta Larkin doesn't like about Sakae Japanese Kitchen:
Small Japanese restaurant serving of a picture menu. Nothing startling, except for the Terriyaki beef which was wonderful. Service a little slow but not annoying. View all feedback.

While some patrons found the food to be average, others praised the fresh sashimi and delicious teriyaki beef. The prices were considered a bit high by some, but overall the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a more leisurely meal, Sakae Sushi might be worth a visit for those craving Japanese cuisine in the area.
