I'm always in search of a comfortable a friendly places to a have a coffee and a good bite. Well this cafe fits the criteria. I love there South American Empanadas and coffees. View all feedback.
I never would have wandered into Cafe Cortado if their specials board hadn't caught my eye. It looks like any generic cafe serving typical generic cafe fare, but it's not. It is so much more. Serving traditional Peruvian food I enjoyed a perfectly cooked, generous well priced portion of seafood stew. I will be back to try the ceviche, empanadas, croquettes and much much more. Yum!
This is a cafe first and foremost, but one with a twist. Some of the flavours and ingredients are distinctly South American (I had never tried an Alpaca Burger before but I'm glad I have). The coffee is superb. I would even go out on a limb and say that it is some of the best in the city. The service is friendly and personal and the cafe has both inside and outside dining. Whether for a coffee or a meal ... I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Nice coffee and friendly service. Our seats en plain air beside Marrickville Rd were a bit noisy (and this was a public holiday) but we'd be happy enough to return.
Had breakfast at this cafe, ordered a couple of sandwiches, coffee and a fruit roll. Delicious, fast, inexpensive, excellent coffee. For breakfast - just a great place!
Don't waste your time, like we did (20 mins detour). It closed down, apparently quite a few months ago, and they haven't bothered to update this profile.
