I have a new favorite sandwich and I’d eat it every day if I could; bacon jalapeño melt you’ve got to try it!!! The cafe service is always friendly they appreciate their customers in a way that’s gotten to be uncommon. View all feedback.
We were checking out the historical dough mixer they have in the front window and was greeted by a friendly young woman who gave us a very detailed history. We got into a huge conversation about the history of tenetary toast and found it to be quite fascinating as I am a history buff, we were than led to a table and she sat and talked with us some more and found out she and her husband were actually the owners! We felt like we had made an instant friendship and she waited on us herself, we talked about the menu items and I went for the b.l.t and my girlfriend tried the avocado toast. Nothing disappointing at all, fresh food, warm atmosphere and friendly owner who made us feel at home. Most smaller restaurants in the u.p. you get the troll treatment and the locals aren 't so warm, It felt like southern hospitality in there. We try and make it up at least once a year to rock hunt in the kewinaw and will definitely stop here every visit we make! It was nice to do a little shopping after lunch in the beautifull little town of Marquette! She( the owner) also suggested a nearby beach to explore where we found a pleathera of colored beach glass and lake Superior Agates!!!!

Dropped in for breakfast while driving through Marquette. I don't eat wheat and had seen they did gluten free options so that was good. Nice cafe with comfortable seats and ambience. You order at the front and your food is brought to you all pleasant and efficient!
I'm from out of town, and had never had a Finnish breakfast. The food was delicious, the restaurant filled with locals and a warm, friendly staff. I wish I could go back every week! Great yeast bread products: Cinnamon rolls, French toast, rye bread...everything warm and tasty great coffee drinks.
Nice sandwich and coffee place. Nothing too fancy. Pleasant staff. Would happily go again.
