That was my second stay here and the first time was at a weekend. this time I stayed during the week and the traffic noise kept me up half night. this did not h... read more That was my second stay here and the first time was at a weekend. this time I stayed during the week and the traffic noise kept me up half night. this did not happen at the weekend. it's a catch 22 because if it. the beautiful sea view they have the traffic noise, but stay on the back of the hotel, they can get the noise from the train. small things I noticed this time were not supplied fabric, the safe was not locked and the curtains do not provide enough block in the morning. small dinge and this hotel has a fantastic view of the lake, a fantastic breakfast and friendly staff. would still be highly recommended to stay here.

After a morning walk on the monte isola we needed a rewarding lunch so that our ferry docked in sale marasino, we went the road to marone to A-Lago, about 1.3 k... read more After a morning walk on the monte isola we needed a rewarding lunch so that our ferry docked in sale marasino, we went the road to marone to A-Lago, about 1.3 km. the restaurant was recommended to us by our apartment owners, preferably. to have the set lunch menu, a two cure menu with wine, water and coffee for ten euro per person. how amazing is this worth. at the arrival in restaurant on this Monday afternoon most tables were taken from the front, there was a limited amount of shadows, but it was too hot for us to sit outside, so we went into the air-conditioned dining room with views of the lake. some elements on the menu were not available until we ordered around 1315, but we had enough choices. we could not mistake the meal, the portion sizes were huge, for first plate we had sweet risotto and seafood linguine, for second plate we had a cold pork and salat and a thin bark steak with chips. we left the restaurant with a full touch and very satisfied. A-Lago was constantly busy during our visit, the staff was all friendly, the decor was pleasant and the restaurant and the toilets were all very clean.

We went here to celebrate our jubilee, and thought that the good recommendations here on tripadvisor would lead us to a good experience. this place is what I wo... read more We went here to celebrate our jubilee, and thought that the good recommendations here on tripadvisor would lead us to a good experience. this place is what I would call a tourist trap, although they do not seem to appreciate guests somehow. our first. wächter didn't get the full beverage order, so he just left before we came to our two proseccos. so we had to order this when he got drunk with the others (where he got the order wrong). Then he came back with a prosecco, not with two arrrgh. then we tried to place our food order, which had taken time, and we got another waiter who had at least one smile to share. when we got our starters, they had two of them wrong, but managed to handle this and it within minutes (positiw.) we had to ask for brot, and then we did. starters were ok, but not more than that. when we got our main dishes and weeping, we got neither cutlery nor wine glasses. So again, we have been asking for him and getting cutlery, and we have just used our prosecco glass for the wein. two of the main dishes (primi’s) were much too salty (pasta with white fish and cherry tomatoes) and spaghetti vongole, so we could not eat what we wanted when it got too much. all in all, no culinary highlights at all in our full meal with two directed each and the waiters not adding something positive to the experience. last we had to wait 20 minutes to pay the bill! I've never been so close to leaving the place. I've never made a negative recommendation, but it deserves.
