What User doesn't like about Sonoya:
I personally did not find the ramen to be very good. While it was not as bad as instant noodles, the soup base was decent and the ingredients were standard. However, considering the quality, quantity, location, and price, I would say this restaurant is only average. While it may not be a terrible choice for a meal in Toronto(GTA), I am unlikely to visit this place again. View all feedback.

Most of the really good ramen noodle places are downtown Toronto. Outside of downtown can be hit or miss. Sonoya is a pretty good choice if you are in Markham (they are in First Markham Place). They have a good selection of ramen and also serve a few non noodle dishes like gyoza, tonkatsu, and takoyaki. I had the Sapporo miso ramen. It was large and came piping hot. Good presentation, good portion size and tasty. Their house tea came luke warm but was good. Would recommend and go back.
I think the name of this restaurant "Sonoya Japanese Noodle House" is a little misleading.
I ordered a tonkotsu ramen and was unfortunately disappointedThere was no creamy element to the broth like tonkotsu normally has.
Can really say this place is an authentic tasting ramen place.
