Phoenix - Markham

Some how Phoenix restaurant has change for the worse. Inattentive waiters and waitresses and not only that most of the dishes are now more expensive. May be that what success can do to you. Food is ok but my friend found steel wool in his rice. You can see that in the attached picture. If thing remains the same we will not go there again.

Reasonable price for lunch or dinner. Well prepared Hong Kong style of cooking. Should try the Hainan Chicken. Lunch and dinner value meals come with Hong Kong milk tea. You get better service from wait staffs in McCowan location.

I've been to both location, Woodbine and McCowan, both are horrible. Waitress dump food on the table and rush you to leave making room for new customers. If no one is waiting for table, you can hardly find and waitress around to ask for the bill. DON'T order anything with stream rice, it is VERY VERY DRY. We asked for extra tea for 4 of us and they brought 1 glass. We asked again and they brought another glass. WTH... It is a CHINESE CHINESE CHINESE restaurants, if you don't speak CHINESE, don't even think of going there. They treat you like you are there to beg them for food. You pay the same amount of $ if you go somewhere else anyway.

Busy restaurant especially during lunch hours. Lot of students came in for lunch from the school nearby. Offered many lunch specials including HK style or lemon tea. Most special are high in carb unless you order protein specific like pork chop, etc. Good value for acceptable food.

This is a Hong Kong style tea house restaurant, food are very tasty and consistent. It's a fast food restaurant, so don't expect fine dinning service.
