Here is a restaurant with good decor, good food and good service. Their dishes are very traditional and are in good portion. Nice presentation is also one of their strengths. If there is anything that I would rate as less positive is the acoustic in the restaurant. Because of the high ceiling, sound travels; hence, the noise level in the restaurant tends to be high. My rating has not changed from their other location on Steele, overall. Food still very good, value on the lower side. The washrooms at this location are not acceptable for a flagship resto and the wind has a tendency to keep one door open, resulting in management leaving a chair in the way! A wonderful dinner with a friend after a long day coaching at a nearby school. What an awesome restaurant with a tonne of choices, delicious flavours, and quick and efficient and friendly service. We had the chicken and duck congee, a wonderful fried tofu dish...and bbq pork rice noodle wraps. So delicious, I intend to go back with my family when we are back in Markham.
Excellent place to visit if you are into Chinese Food. Portions are enormous, so don't over order. You'll have to take goggle bags home!
The beef brisket in the soup was tough and unappetizing, with only about 7 pieces included. When I asked the manager, Anna, to replace the meal or add more tender brisket, she refused. I have been a patron of this restaurant for 1 1/2 years, but was disappointed by their response. I have tried this dish at many Chinese restaurants before, but never encountered such poor quality.
The service is still good, but the quality of the food has declined in recent years. I have been a loyal customer for a long time, and I am disappointed by the decline in quality. The BBQ pork is now fatty and of poor quality.
