I was completely filled on a homestyle lunch buffet. Today meat Choice was pork roast and Prime Rib. It was already cut in a pan juice. The vegetables of the day were potatoes and corn. The salad bar had a limited number of blows. The dessert table had four choices. The service, decorations and ambience of the building was excellent. View all feedback.
This is a beautiful place for lunch. The Hostess House is very beautiful. Lunch wasn't as good as we hoped. The soup wasn't fantastic, but the salad was. It's a good place to bring a group together. It looks like the perfect place to have a baby or bridal shower. We're probably going back.
I was invited to attend a special holiday dinner at Hostess House. Ed Breen, spokesman and sagamore of the Wabash, shared some of the personal reflections of Charles Dickens on Christmas. Madrigal Singers in the time dress maintained during the meal. Carolers and guests sang to two participants who celebrate their birthday tonight. The buffet had foods that were probably served during the time of Dickens. I've never tasted so delicious carrots. At the end of the meal, the garbage served sweet and steaming. And the black coffee tasted good this winter night! The house is elegant, held with love of dedicated women by Marion. I received an impressive tour from a part of the second floor, which also houses the gift shop, and has paintings by local artists as well as historical time portraits. What an unforgettable evening spent with my father and some of his friends on this beautiful Marion landmark.
They have Authentic Titanic tickets on display and A Very nice thrift store in the basement. I don't recall dining here though, so cannot comment to the quality of food and service.
This is an absolutely beautiful place with a lot to offer and some gorgeous rooms. The board running the place is full of passionate and dedicated people. I didn't eat here, but the food did smell amazing too.
