Overall a good experience I recommend not changing anything from the set menus. We swapped one pasta dish for another with a cheese sauce and the overall effect was too salty and cheesy. Good quality pasta and a fun restaurant concept. Each portion is small but they add up to a full meal. The dessert (tiramisu inspired mousse) was incredible. View all feedback.
What yu Joey doesn't like about Uovo Marina Del Rey:
Service is terrible never been so upset. First my girlfriend and I waited to be seated and there’s no line. It took literally 10 minutes for the staff to notice us. When she took us we told her a table of two she proceed told us the wait is 30-45 min. But clearly there’s 3-4 tables open and ready to go. Anyway I’ll never come back to uovo. View all feedback.
Incredible pasta, the best I’ve had anywhere, including Italy. And the wine list is carefully chosen with reasonable prices. Best experience we had in LA
Pasta made in Italy. The sampler dishes were excellent and so was the dessert. The service was friendly and attentive.
Amazing, authentic and flavorful pasta dishes that are well worth the wait. If you have to try one thing, get the carbonara. It’s perfectly rich and the pork cuts through the cheesiness and compliments the dish nicely. The ragu is a simpler, lighter dish by comparison and really lets the fresh pasta shine. I enjoy ordering both and splitting. The views and overall ambiance are great, and it makes a nice casual date spot. We arrived at 6:30 on a Thursday and waited a little over an hour for a table. Be sure to get your parking validated.
First visit seating is first show first seat no reservation pasta types are excellent tasty fresh dishes selected are all tasty wine menu is fine and good reasonable price overall will return got there 5.30 before dinner prime time hours and seating was available
We had lunch there today, and my initial impression was positive. I just encountered a rather unhelpful young waiter who rolled his eyes whenever I requested something but the food was worth the experience. As a foodie with a very particular palate, I’m often hard to please in restaurants. However, the food was exceptional—I'd rate it 12 out of 10. After just returning from Italy, I was skeptical and hesitant to compare, but I found it even better than some restaurants I visited in Rome. There were a few cons worth mentioning. We opted for the regional tasting menu, which was otherwise excellent. The only downside was having to share the entrée, which wasn’t ideal for me. They don’t provide additional plates; you’re expected to eat directly from the same plate, which is quite unusual for two people. The Ragu was delicious, and the tortellini was very tasty. However, my favorite pasta, the amatriciana, was a bit too salty compared to what I had in Rome but still delicious. Additionally, I was disappointed with the tiramisu. We had to share it, which isn’t very hygienic, especially if dining with a friend. It would be much better if they served individual portions or small verrines glasses with tiramisu.
