Ant House Steakhouse - Mareeba

Great service and food. Stopped in for a feed and certainly not disappointed. Steak was cooked as asked and tender as should be. Loved it

Came here for a staff function with a group of 13 adults and one toddler. Entrees were nice and mains were mostly OKish (except beef ribs; very tender but absolutely flavourless! but mains took over 45 mins to get out and the toddlers meal was the last to arrive almost as an afterthought. Service was very rude, we were told we weren't allowed to order any spirits and that they would only keep the bar tab open til 8pm (the group was mixed age, not at all rowdy crowd, not big drinkers and two people didn't even drink! one barmaid was lovely but another very rude, the staff member obviously thought we were an inconvenience even being there so don't bother wasting your money somewhere they obviously don't even want you to spend it.

Just dropped by for lunch and had the $12.95 Rump special asked for med rare and it came cooked to perfection with a hint of char grill. Well worth the stop

If you like a good steak at a reasonable price, then this is the place to go. Hubby and I ordered a fillet Mignon medium rare with seafood sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented. Lovely fresh salad and chips. The seafood sauce was served with 3 very large prawns. It was yummy. The dining area is large with a lot of character and indoor plants. Would definitely go there again.

Had a great meal here, the steak was cooked to perfection. Staff are lovely, very clean rest rooms. If in the mood poker machines are in the next room. Nice place to visit.
