I've visited this diner numerous times and have always appreciated the service and the meals. However, today was a different experience. Not only did they mix up our food order, but we also found a hair in one of the dishes, which completely ruined our appetite. To make matters worse, they did nothing to rectify the situation!

This delightful diner is a hidden treasure in this small town. Recently renovated, the restaurant has a fresh and inviting atmosphere. The menu offers a wide variety of food options, including nostalgic breakfast favorites like waffles and pancakes, as well as hearty choices like steak! I especially appreciated the seating and my waitress, Ishani, who was exceptional. She genuinely cares about the restaurant and ensured that my experience was nothing short of wonderful!

I recently had a wonderful breakfast at The Spot Diner in South Orange. Our waiter, Ishani, made the experience truly exceptional. Her friendly and attentive service created a lovely atmosphere for our morning meal. She knew the breakfast menu inside and out, provided excellent recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend The Spot Diner for a great breakfast experience, and be sure to ask for Ishani—she really shines! Sunday morning just wanted to have breakfast with my significant other (we are colored people). I was waiting in line to be seated very patiently. Nobody said “welcome, good morning” no type of acknowledgment. I was in line when a group of 3 Caucasian people walked in, they were not even acknowledged but seated right away. I looked at the person who was seating people and the other waiter and told them that I was there first, they didn’t apologize and told me to have a good day. I cried outside and was in disbelief. We walked across the st to Village Coffee CO and they were so welcoming. Please share if you had a similar experience, this is 2024 this has to stop! We are all humans at the end of the day.
