Was Louise Brazier at Shogi a mag?
The food was really great here! Everything tasted so fresh. They use high quality ingredients. And the restaurant was very clean inside. The beef teriyaki was incredibly tender and cooked perfectly. The sushi rolls were amazing View all feedback.

What Arika K dislikes about Shogi:
I usually don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so after my recent experience at this restaurant. The salmon roll barely had any salmon in it, the rice was dry, and the overall taste was worse than frozen store-bought sushi. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is the worst sushi place I've been to in years. View all feedback.

We looked at Trip Advisor for a sushi restaurant in the area and selected Shogi as it had fairly high reviews. Did not disappoint. Service was very good, prices for all-you-can-eat were reasonable $23 adults/$14 under 10 yrs/$10 under 6), food was good. Everything that...we ordered came quickly and well prepared.

The food was great. Service was fast and everything was done right. We got there a little earlier than we planned and the place was packed. We were not greeted warmly but like we were a pain in the butt. So we left and returned...when it was slightly less busy. The food was worth the wait and although the first impressions were not that good, it was overall a pleasant experience. The place is small so reservations should be considered.

I have been to several all u can eat sushi places and found that prices are fairly consistent but quality can vary...a lot. From the great to terrible Lindsay, pembroke) but most are somewhere in between. Shogi to me lies smack dab in the...middle or just shy. My roll was quite good, shrimp tempura quite good as well. Howe’s like sushi and sashimi. I’m not saying they cut the fish with an exact knife but many cold cuts are not much thinner than the sashimi here. Miso soup barely warm. Salad was a joke...lettuce mostly older white portions) drenched in watery dressing and NoTHING else. Selection pretty limited. No avacodo salad which I usually get in 95% of all u can eat sushi places. Service okay I guess but when they take your order paper they don’t bring you another until u ask. Gotta love the iPad places). Atoms uninspired for a place like this. Parking ample as part of a very long strip mall. So not bad o o but nothing to write home about. Seriously cut your sushi a bit thicker. I ordered 4 pieces salmon at first, came stuck together and looked like one average piece....instead of 4 thin thin ones.

I lived in Vaughan when Shogi opened, and ever since then, whenever I am in the area I always make sure to go back. The customer service is great, and the food is consistently amazing.
