Mansfield
Description
This longstanding family diner delivers classic comfort breakfasts and homestyle lunches in a nostalgic, old-school setting. Friendly, attentive servers and quick, affordable service are constant highlights, and specialties like biscuits and sausage gravy, pancakes, waffles and a rotating selection of pies draw regular praise. Food quality is inconsistent, though — expect occasional undercooked or cold sides, unappealing fruit and odd substitutions — so go for the atmosphere, service and signature dishes rather than flawless execution.

Club sandwich pictured. Be sure to try the pies. We've had strawberry, pecan, coconut cream, and peanut butter cream, they're all delish! Staff is always friendly and food comes quickly. Prices are very reasonable, we paid $28 for two meals with 2 piecesof pie.
First time here from out of town but work in the area on occasions as my office is near by. Wonderful fast friendly attentive service love the old school dinner feel and nostalgic decor very large give me a selection highly recommend this restaurantestablishment for all your dining needs.
I dined at this restaurant before the COVID pandemic and had a wonderful experience. However, my most recent visit was quite disappointing. The over-easy eggs were overcooked, resulting in broken yolks. The hash browns were both undercooked and tough at the same time. I won't even touch on the biscuits and gravy. On the bright side, the server was fantastic. I'm really puzzled as to how the quality has declined so much.
I visited this restaurant for the first time while I was passing time in the area. I ordered a western omelet and a cup of fruit. The omelet was served in a standard portion size, which felt a bit pricey compared to the large servings often found at other places. I was really disappointed to find a slice of imitation cheese on top, unwrapped and melted into a gooey mess. As for the fruit, it was far from fresh, and I had to send it back. The smell, appearance, and taste were all unappealing. In hindsight, I should have trusted my instincts and avoided even smelling or tasting it given how unappetizing it looked. On a positive note, the servers were friendly. However, due to this disappointing experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
I'm giving this restaurant two stars, but that's purely because of our server, who deserves five. She was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. Three out of our four meals arrived with cold mashed potatoes and gravy. My country fried steak was overcooked, and the gravy was lukewarm. Even my wife’s fries were barely warm. Our server was very apologetic and kindly brought us small bowls of mashed potatoes and gravy, saying they should be hot. However, they were just as disappointing as the first serving, and none of us ended up eating any of it. We ultimately had to make do with just our meat and bread. Overall, I was not impressed. To be fair, I've never experienced such issues here before.
