Buckeye Bakery - Mansfield
Buckeye Bakery
Description
Buckeye Bakery has long been a beloved destination for pastries, cookies, and donuts, celebrated for its friendly service and nostalgic charm. While many customers rave about their delicious offerings, like cream cheese pastries and maple-frosted coffee cake, others have had disappointing experiences, citing issues with rude staff and stale products. Some have even encountered unfortunate mishaps, including hair found in baked goods. Despite recent inconsistencies, a few dedicated patrons continue to make the trek for the bakery’s signature cutout cookies, often leaving with fond memories and a sweet treat. Overall, opinions remain divided, reflecting the bakery's varied reputation.

My husband has been going to buckeye bakery for 30 years now, we drive a little over and hour just to get the cutout cookies. It has always been a great experience and customer service. Today my husband, myself, and one of our little boys decided to make the trek to get some cutout cookies. We got there and they said they had been sold out since 8am. We laughed because I told my husband before we walked in “ what if we go in and they are all sold out!?”, and sure enough .. all gone! We told them we had driven an hour because my husband loves the cutouts, ensuring them we were not upset and that we love their cookies! As we got ready to leave one of the workers handed us her own bag of fresh cutout cookies and said “ here, take mine, they are fresh.. it’s on me!”. This place has always been and will always be our go-to for cookies! Great people and great desserts!!
They got my order wrong, made substitutions without asking me and didn't even give me the correct amount of items I ordered. Which didn't make for a good first impression.
I ordered a quarter sheet cake for a friend's birthday and paid $40 for it. The cake was quite tasty (though not $40 tasty), and my friend loved it at first. However, we later discovered two hairs baked right into the cake. I think I’ll stick with Miller Hawkins' cake, which is $18.99 and just as delicious—plus, there's no hair in it!
My wife and I attended a “Friendsgiving” party. A friend brought a Buckeye Bakery cake which was a white cake with white frosting and beautiful colors.Normally, I don’t eat a lot of cake but I ended up eating two pieces! We were all pretty impressed!
