Description
Buckeye Bakery has long been a beloved destination for pastries, cookies, and donuts, celebrated for its friendly service and nostalgic charm. While many customers rave about their delicious offerings, like cream cheese pastries and maple-frosted coffee cake, others have had disappointing experiences, citing issues with rude staff and stale products. They got my order wrong, made substitutions without asking me and didn't even give me the correct amount of items I ordered. Which didn't make for a good first impression.
I was fortunate to visit on a Saturday morning and managed to snag a coffee cake. The coffee cake comes with a delicious maple frosting that is simply amazing. If they happen to be sold out of coffee cakes, don't fret—the donuts are fantastic too!
My aunt and I went out for donuts today, but unfortunately, they were out of stock. Instead, we opted for cookies. The woman at the counter was very unfriendly and treated my aunt poorly, which made the experience quite unpleasant. The cookies were stale, and overall, I was really disappointed with the quality of the food. I wouldn't recommend visiting this place; it has really declined. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
I ordered a quarter sheet cake for a friend's birthday and paid $40 for it. The cake was quite tasty (though not $40 tasty), and my friend loved it at first. However, we later discovered two hairs baked right into the cake. I think I’ll stick with Miller Hawkins' cake, which is $18.99 and just as delicious—plus, there's no hair in it!
