We were greeted rathe... read more We arrived with high expectations, which were unfortunately partially disappointed. We had reserved a table for 8:00 pm and were punctual. We were greeted rather brusquely with the instruction: You 'll have to wait outside. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, but the tables are a bit too close together, making it quite noisy. One of the small appetizers on the menu was already sold out, and the staff unfortunately didn 't offer any alternatives. The main courses were excellent (including the tuna), but the side dishes were so meager that we didn 't feel truly satisfied. The curt service meant that we ultimately didn 't order dessert.

Mr. Rupp... read more My favorite restaurant in Mannheim. I love coming here for lunch, whether for work or leisure, for a glass of Crémant or a delicious multi-course meal. Mr. Ruppenthal is a top-notch chef, unparalleled in Mannheim. Fresh fish and fantastic oysters. The value for money is excellent, too. Our new regular haunt in Mannheim's Oststadt district.

Here's the verdict: €24 for a small, lukewarm piece of quiche! €33 for three small grilled squid, two very small octopuses with some spinach, and a quartered potato! A small tart with a molten chocolate center for dessert for €15! Crème brûlée €10. White wine €10 per glass, pilsner €8.50 The food tasted good, but the portions were far too small, making the prices unjustified. The service was averagely competent, the seating was cramped, and the atmosphere was noisy.
