Food... read more Visiting from the USA and tried Hemmlein because we were looking for authentic German fare - Particularly, spargel as it was in season. Very happy we did! Food was excellent. Portions were huge. (We were offered a Take Away box) Prices were adequate for the amount of food but I would have preferred to pay less and get half as much food. I agree with some of the other reviewers that the waitress was a bit moody. She demanded we pay in exact change, so I'd prepare for that. She was also helpful with the menu so I decided to leave the review at 5/5.

If you are not German, the size of the portions might be a little scary! Just a lot! I tried the Jägerschnitzel with salad and Bratkartoffeln. Really worthy a second visit.
