Tische waren um 12 Uhr noch nicht eingedeckt - bereits einige Gäste im Lokal, aber die Bedienung musste sich erst um den familiären Besuch kümmern und ihn verab... read more Tische waren um 12 Uhr noch nicht eingedeckt - bereits einige Gäste im Lokal, aber die Bedienung musste sich erst um den familiären Besuch kümmern und ihn verabschieden - Essen von der Tafel - gute Auswahl aber lange Wartezeit und das Rinderfilet meiner Frau war auf dem eiskalten Teller auch nicht wirklich heiß - Wildgericht mit Pfifferlingen groß aber zu stark gewürzt - deshalb na ja - ohne Schlemmerblock zu teuer - viele kleine Kinder mit diesen Wartezeiten ist nicht gut für das Lokal

Wir hatten von Fleisch über Nudeln bis z... read more Da Michele ist wahrlich nicht der Top-Italiener in Mannheim, ist wohl auch nicht der Anspruch von diesem kleinen Lokal. Wir hatten von Fleisch über Nudeln bis zur Pizza einiges probiert. Es war alles in Ordnung, nicht besonders gut aber auch nicht besonders schlecht. Man muss halt einfach mal die Preise betrachten, dann sollte man verstehen, dass auf gute Qualität verzichtet werden muss. Jeder will immer nur höchste Qualität, wie soll das funktionieren wenn eine Pizza nur etwa € 6,50 kostet oder Nudeln € 7,00 und Fleischgerichte ab € 10,00 ??Fazit: wer mal schnell zum Italiener will, keine grossen Ansprüche an das Essen hat, dafür aber wenig bezahlen möchte, der ist hier an der richtigen Adresse.

The first time, I was with my friends and actually had to wait quite a while for the food, B... read more So, I've been there twice already and definitely want to come back. The first time, I was with my friends and actually had to wait quite a while for the food, BUT I had also ordered a delicious salad, and there was pizza bread and other snacks on the table, so the wait wasn't actually that unpleasant. The second time, it was just the two of us, and the appetizer platter made the wait go by nicely. It's quite noisy between 6 and 7 pm, but it gets more pleasant again around 8 pm. What I find lacking about the location is a garden or outdoor seating area – that would make it even more appealing in nice summer weather. What impressed me: I discovered a wine there that I couldn't find in Germany anymore – so I ordered it directly from Italy : I didn't try the homemade liqueurs (or schnapps? : , but the glasses look beautiful! The limoncello was delicious – we tried it with the girls! So, a lot of things are homemade – even the pasta. Yes, that takes time, but I think if you want to experience authentic Italy, you absolutely have to go to Michele's! See you soon – we're already looking forward to our next visit!
