It may not look enticing in terms of area or outside design.. as soon as you get in the door you know you are in a restaurant run by people that want to give you a great experience. The menu has is varied but not overloading. The food was prepared to perfection. The curry foam on ravioli..the cod and gnocchi.. the rhubarb and ice cream desert.. all really good. Decent wine list.. we went for a very nice Sauterne.. It's a little hidden in Central Mannheim.. but worth finding..

A... read more Wir haben uns einen schönen Abend im Alchimia gemacht: Jeder 3 Gänge, dazu 2 Gläser Wein. Kostenpunkt: Knapp 120 Euro. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, keine Frage. Aber das leicht verlebte Ambiente (Sitzpolster durchgesessen, Tischbeine im Weg) und die Tatsache, dass die Preise etwas zu hoch sind, trüben die Stimmung etwas. Die Vorspeisen-Ravioli z.B. waren ein Traum, die Gnocchi jedoch etwas zu mehlig. Das Filet war genau richtig und dem Preis angemessen. Die Apfeltarte als Nachtisch ist für 13,50 Euro aber einfach gnadenlos überteuert.

It was not very busy, so it was very easy to have a conversation while we had a glass of wine and enjoyed our meals. The service was fantastic and the food was very good. I would highly recommend Alchimia.
