The food at Kat's Cafe is exceptional, and its location just outside the city makes it very convenient.
Edit 10-20-22: I returned for breakfast with my son, but unfortunately, the entire restaurant was plagued by a strong sewer gas smell, including the front lobby. This experience has led me to decide that we won’t be coming back. The doors really shouldn’t have been open under those conditions. They definitely need to call a plumber and consider opening later. It’s completely unacceptable to operate in such circumstances; I can’t imagine anyone enjoying breakfast in a place that smells like sewage. On a more positive note, it’s a nice local spot with friendly staff. However, the burger I had was disappointing. My son ordered the French toast and insisted it was amazing, but I’m not sure if it was genuinely delicious or just very appealing because it came topped with a mountain of whipped cream! We often stop by due to my son and his brothers’ school schedules, and I’ve never had anything negative to say until now. This place isn’t extraordinary, but it’s not terrible either. It’s just a clean and convenient spot to grab a quick, affordable breakfast. We’ll likely return, as we always have.
The food was excellent, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this place!
