Went home and saw a box of Sugarhouse in the fridge. (Sorry bout the pics, straight from our fridge So now I'm here to review their Cashew Toffee Cake I like this cake because: 1) It's not too sweet, not nakakasuya at all. You know I'm eating a cake, not entirely sugar! 2) It's so chocolatey and crunchy at the same time..I've always been a fan of crunchy cakes, remember that chocolate mocha crunch cake from Red Ribbo... What Hal Simonis doesn't like about Sugarhouse:
Got the apple pie and it wasn't very fresh. It was tasteless and very, very dry. The cream that was supposed to come with it was frozen and came out from a plastic bag. There was also shredded cheese as a topping, which didn't really add anything to the pie. The lady serving us was working there alone and really friendly, unfortunately the pie wasn't good. There is really nothing extraordinary that stands out from their dead, but they can hang around here with their friends in their little corner. However, since it is a free space passer, it can be loud.

Christmas is approaching and desserts and all sweet are really part of the filipino Christmas vibe. in tune with this, sugarhouse just launched its 2018 Christmas catalog. but first, let's go back to the time and learn how sugarhouse started. the first sugarhouse opened in the juli 1983 in the anza street, right at the makati avenue in makati city. the small building houses a kitchen, bakery and customer area. by mouth grew the popularity of the small cake business. do they imagine how long sugarhouse is in the economy? this place is known for its sweet tasty and not only that some of its twosome now also offers pastas and rice flours. submitted to...read more
I don't like sponge cake, so when I brought black magic' pie, the texture was just that. Looks great, so I could also put four stars on it, but the pie itself was a buzz. it is really dry and full air? spongey and very veeeery light. the taste lacks the fullness of aromas that is the chocolate. when I cut it into slices, the cake looked like he had unleashed from the middle. even though the other cake could be better because it's my first time, I'm trying sugarhouse. chocolate truffles, I think, is her best, so they can try what I wish.
Picked-up a french apple pie at sugarhouse this afternoon. An 8 pie would set you back about 1500 but its well worth it! The pie is perfect it has a rich buttery crust which is generously filled with apples cooked in more butter and cinnamon, and the whole thing is topped with a sweet crumble.
