Sizzling Plate - Mandaluyong

Hi Loves! Maybe I would be bias on this review. Since Sizzling Plate is my no. 1 go-to diner in Megamall. Haha. I never get tired of their Sizzling Liempo. We went to SM Megamall yesterday, and we decided to have dinner in Sizzling Plate. Please see my verdict: FOOD: Sizzling Liempo. PRICE: Php 130.00 (without drinks) SERVING SIZE: 1 slab of thin liempo cut, 1 cup of rice and side dish of mixed veggies. SERVICE: Getting in the line and paying your order is quite fast. But you have to wait for atleast 5minutes to get your food. LOCATION: SM Megamall Food court RATING: 3.5/5 - If you are so starving and want to dig in immediately, this is not for you hahaha. You might end up with burnt tongue and lips. You need to cool down it first for atleast 5-10 minutes. Hey! What do you expect, it was served in a sizzling plate. Hahaha. But overall, I so love the sizzling liempo. This is my go-to meal. I will definitely, come back and will try this over and over again. Disclaimer: Taste is in the tongue of the beholder! It might not be good for me, but it might be good for you.

Cheap but good steaks are here. Food: It's always pork steak for me. I just love the java rice and the gravy. Service: Usually takes 8-10 minutes for food to be served. Place: It's located at the food court so they have lots of seats available.

One of affordable yet delicious fast food chain here in metro. For 100 pesos, you can have variety of food to choose. My favorite dish are the sizzling pork chop and sizzling burger steak. For sure everyone here knows about sizzling plate and personally I recommend to all.

This resto is located at the fifth floor in SM Megamall's Fashion Hall in the Food Hall section. WHAT I ORDERED: Paella marinara with fish and seafood with pesto at the side. (260 php) PAELLA: 3.5 If you aren't familiar with paella, this dish originates from Spain. The first time I tried paella, it was somewhere in the Andalucia region (south) or in Madrid. Obviously, I will automatically make comparisons. The serving size was the right size for me, but I think that's because this resto goes by Philippine standards and not European standards. Overall, the taste of the rice with the marinara sauce was slightly above average. What ticked me off was the seafood. The shrimp and calamari were prepared in a tempura style, and when I took a bite, it had this greasy taste. I'm concerned about when the tempura was prepared. The calamari fared worse than the shrimp because the batter was pretty much all I could taste; I couldn't taste any calamari. I think I picked the wrong sauce (pesto) to pair off with my paella, haha. In regards to comparisons, it doens't feel authentic because authentic paella would come with freshly cooked seafood. OVERALL: Since this resto is located in a food court setting, I can't really rate the atmosphere of the resto itself. Overall, the paella was satisfying, but it's not authentic imo.
