What VeganMarine doesn't like about Bibo:
As for the food: I ordered the eggplant/pesto sandwich based on a previous reviewer's recommendation. They kindly offered avocado instead of cheese, which was great. However, the sandwich turned out to be a greasy mess of oiled up eggplant in homemade bread, making it unpleasant to eat. I also tried the creamy noodle soup, which was decent and saved the meal from receiving a one-star rating.
The prices are ridiculo... View all feedback.
Ordnete Burmese Vege Curry, was nothing special. Free tomato salad was amazing. I think it's a lottery when it comes to vegan options.
We ate here a few times during our stay as we loved the friendliness of the staff who worked here as well as the healthy food. Definitely recommend the guac and poppadoms and the chickpea salad was very tasty. We also loved the fresh cold juices perfect for an afternoon away from the sun! They have a separate section marked “vegan” as well as special boards. They seem pretty flexible to adapt any other dishes to vegan too. Also excellent WiFi. A must visit :
The staff is stunning, the food is delicious, and the avocado and tomato salad was outstanding! The staff is very attractive and speaks English fluently, making it easy to discuss vegan options. The woman is gorgeous and even brought a complimentary dessert. This is the most exquisite restaurant I have dined at in Bagan!
I attempted to dine at this restaurant twice before finally being able to get a table on my third try. I am grateful that I didn't give up because it was worth it. The restaurant is nice and the food is deliciously fresh. I particularly enjoyed the icy lemon tea, which was served with pineapple and orange, making it a perfect refreshing option for a hot afternoon. I ordered the veg sandwich without cheese, as the pesto sauce does not contain any cheese. The owner even came to chat with me while I was eating and informed me that they baked the bread with Matcha powder.
As for the food: I ordered the Aubergine/Pesto sandwich based on a previous reviewer's recommendation. I asked for avocado instead of cheese, which was a nice touch. However, the sandwich was too oily with a thick layer of oily eggplants on homemade bread. I also had a creamy noodle soup, which was decent but not outstanding. The prices are exorbitant compared to other places on the street. It seems like you are paying for the popularity of the restaurant on TripAdvisor. I am disappointed that I spent three times the amount I should have for a mediocre meal.
