Love the food from here! I like to wait for fresh fish and chips because I travel some distance to get here and the staff are always happy to oblige. The staff are friendly and polite and and the food tastes amazing. You can tell they use quality stuff. On the odd occassion i've not been 100% satisfied (i've been coming here 20yrs so it's bound to happen! i've let them know and they've put it right straight away. On the whole just a great place with great food and service. No wonder it's been around nearly 40yrs while all other chippys close down! Looking forward to our next visit!

Simply awful. Lots of batter, hardly any fish, which was also overcooked. Save your money. Buy some crisps.

The name of the chip shop should be The Battered Scottish Fish . There is no mention of Cod on the menu board. Generous portions, There 's a 10% discount for Senior Citizens notice on the wall. But you have to ask for it before the money is in the till. Enquiring about the discount having been charged full price, I was told I should have asked for the discount to be applied, Ask for it next time Dont think so, I shall be going to Iceland.

Fantastic chip shop. Just finished Ramadan and everyone regularly wanted fish and chips from this place after a long fast. The chips are so much better than the fake fries from any branded franchise and more wholesome. The fish is great and as other people have echoed the batter is a taste of its own. Nothing goes to waste. Well worth a trip and worth trying. Often have long queues so allow more time. Mushy peas and curry are excellent. Only criticism is that the mushy peas are on the small side as a portion.
