4.5 star. the location is very convenient, city center location. the decor is beautiful. the personal is very nice. I like the suppe, rich with tomato and smells good with the crumbs. only a small recommendation, the butter is much too much and a drop, can consider small part for butter with suppe, with refilling if needed. rib auge steak is well cooked. unfortunately it does not come with salt or rose salt, that is the reason why to abgate for 0.5 point. mushroom is good, and I like the source comes with the veggie. To be honest, that's a bit too much for a person. have no alcoholic drinks order, but in any case it will try next time.
I found this place by chance. never realized that it was a pub! what a stunning building. the manager tells me that it was finished in 1806 as a Portico library and I missed it all the years! great club sandwich, chips and a pint for less than £8! service was great that was eating fast and fresh. can say more about it, will be a regular one now.
It's a good pub, but I don't like his fish and chips. at first impression, it seems very expensive place, but its not. fish and chips with the koks were 13 pounds.
Nice place, reasonable food and drink, plus friendly and helpful staff.
Great pub , city centre location , good choice of ales and lagers , food is very good and at a reasonable price , definitely recommend
Warm, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. It's also very clean. They make an excellent fish finger sandwich, with hot crunchy fries on the side. Even though it's part of a chain, no other Nicholson's bar seems to make one as good. Try one, you wont regret it. Recommended.
