Evuna
Description
Evuna in Manchester's Deansgate area offers a mix of experiences, from disappointing to delightful. While some customers found the portion sizes and quality of food to be underwhelming, others praised the ambiance, sangria, and accommodating staff. Previous fans have noted a decline in service quality, but some still find it to be a lovely spot for tapas and drinks. The restaurant's interior is considered charming, and many recommend booking in advance to secure a table. Inviting menu of 3 tapas for £19.95 add a glass of house wine for £4.50, the white was £4.50, but given a choice of red asked for the Rioja and charged over £9 for a small glass. Service added by them at 10% even though I was mislead by wine price. Will avoid in future.
The menu and board outside state tapas lunch 15.95 and glass of wine 4.50 staff reluctant to point out the obvious and you the get charged 6.50 per glass of wine. When you order an extra glass of wine (175) it appears on the bill at £9. Maybe the staff should be more proactive with customers, pointing out what is included in the offer.
I visited Evuna on Deansgate with my friend and daughter who both have very different dietary tastes, they were both delighted with every dish. It was beautiful. I am particularly fussy with my wine and the waiter was patient and allowed me to taste a few before I chose one. The service was as fabulous as the food and the wine I highly recommend a visit.
Went for the first time in August for my girlfriend's birthday with her family I'm a meat eater while they're all vegetarian and my girlfriend has coeliac disease but everyone was expertly catered for. Everything is marked for allergens/intolerances and they brought her food out separately I don't expect to see garlic bread at a tapas restaurant so that was a pleasant surprise the portions were large but it was so good that I couldn't leave any. I really enjoyed the chorizo too, and the patatas bravas were good. We shared a couple of jugs of sangria between us and we all found it very drinkable! In all, probably the best tapas I've had outside Spain and would happily visit again.
