I can be quite particular about my dining experiences, but I can honestly say I have never enjoyed a more perfect and serene Christmas meal. I usually spend much more when dining out during the holidays. This 3-course Christmas dinner for £58 was incredible. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. The vegetables were delightful, and the gravy was divine. I truly couldn't have asked for more. I will definitely be returning. The staff was amazing, and even though we waited 45 minutes for our meal, the first bite made the wait worthwhile. It brought joy to our family of six today.

Eight of us enjoyed a wonderful dinner there, and it was great to find a place that welcomes dogs. The atmosphere was cozy with a lovely warm fire, and the extensive menu offered a variety of delicious options. We tried the lasagna, bark and ale cake, Huhn New Yorker, and a special roast bark, all of which were delightful. The cappuccino was excellent, and the staff was friendly. The restaurant features beautiful wooden beams, so be sure to watch your head as you move around! The profiteroles were exquisite, and the chocolate brownie sundae was outstanding. I would definitely return!

The staff were polite but seemed a little overwhelmed b... read more The ambience was great, the service started extremely well and slowed towards the end of our experience. The staff were polite but seemed a little overwhelmed by the volume of people arriving at once. The drinks service got slower and slower until we had to remind the staff. The system worked well but broke down as the afternoon went on. We had to ask to have the table cleared at the end of our meal. Maybe we outstayed our welcome? The food on the whole was good, the overall opinion on out table was that quality would always win over quantity. The roast dinners looked gorgeous, smelled delicious but the meat was carved to thickly. Two of our desserts were left, barely touched, the fruit crumble had an uncooked topping which tasted mainly of flour. The sticky toffee pudding was not very sweet. The seasonal veg, we added a portion, was a dish of green, shredded cabbage...not at all appealing. We did mention to the staff that the desserts weren 't acceptable and were told that they had given the feedback to the kitchen and that the recipes were being reviewed. That did not help the cause. We are from out of town, had a long trip in and came only to meet with our mother who was on a trip to Malvern from Spain. I doubt we will be back.
