I hadn't been to Anupam in many years, recalling it as a great Indian restaurant. When I returned to Malvern, I decided to dine there with a friend. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The waiter's behavior was odd and nearly rude. His comment about Jalfrezi being "what you people eat," followed by a dismissive remark that it wasn't suited for Indians, was off-putting. I chose to have a Madras instead, but the entire meal left much to be desired. The Madras was more like a watery soup with only four pieces of chicken. It was, without a doubt, the worst curry I’ve ever tasted—bland, lacking spices and heat, and reminiscent of eating flavorless soup. I’ve decided not to return.
