The restaurant is very attractive and comfortable and the staff friendly, professional, and attentive. The food, however, was forgettable. We had a very expensive 7-course tasting menu, and, while a few of the dishes were good, none were memorable, and the majority actually tasteless. We couldn't imagine that a real chef would let some of this stuff out of her kitchen. Saver your money.

They had to search for our reservation and didn 't know which bar or restau... read more We booked this as a special birthday meal and highlighted it as such on the website. They had to search for our reservation and didn 't know which bar or restaurant we were due to eat in. Not a great start and didn 't make us feel known or appreciated. We had a lovely drink on the terrace and waited to be seated.. we waited a while even after our drinks had been finished for some time. We were seated next to the kitchen and staff area while at least 1 table nearer the balcony was free. Disappointing First off the 9 courses are way too rushed and we felt completely bloated at the end. We wished we had just chosen the 3 course menu Each course was well thought out and very flavoursome. Our favourite were the seafood courses and the entree soup. Our least favourite were the pretty bland pasta dishes and the caper ice cream. I could do better flavour-wise on the pasta. Our waitress seemed more interested in the couple in front of us who had complained about something and the staff pretty much ignored us all meal. I asked to taste some of the wines and got the smallest dribble I 've ever seen in a restaurant. When I chose one I twice got the dregs of each bottle and the measures barely lasted a course they were so small. Each glass was at least €14 and barely reached the curve of the glass. This was the most annoying part for me as I love wine and really love Sicilian wine. Was the food high quality? Yes Was it worth €400? No way Would I go again? No Was it rushed? Yes!!!! What 's even more annoying is that the whole way round Sicily people have been SO friendly, helpful and generous (with wine tasting etc. that this michelin starred restaurant barely talked to us and offered the least value for money anywhere on the island. The owner shook hands and said goodbye to several couples on the way out.. we got a bye from the boy doing the water.. Not even in the top 5 meals we 've had in Sicily.. bit gutted

The setting is very nice and the food was fine but not up to the standard of Michelin star experiences elsewhere and certainly not worth the 600€ for 2 people. Probably the poorest meal in 5 nights in Malfi.
