26 euros bought a large water, 3 drinks and 3 large sandwiches. While my son wolfed down his hot dog roll, we loved our Ortolano and Capriccio foccacias. Very warm, soft and full of fresh flavours. The aubergine on the Ortolano was fantastic. Well worth a visit and you can even see Il Postino every night 1800. See you next time.

When you walk the one hundred and fifty odd steps up to the road from the beautiful beach at Pollara, you 've built up a thirst. For us, our drink of choice, is coffee. A latte for him and a Cappuccino for me. Now the Italians don 't drink Cappuccino after breakfast, but at L 'Oasi, they 'll make an exception for an Aussie tourist. And they 'll do it with a smile, a friendly conversation and with some of the best tasting coffee blend I 've had in a very long time.. Did I mention we sat outside, under cover, surrounded by beautiful gardens and with a spectacular view across the Mediterranean. In the hot, sultry climate that is The Aeolian Islands, it 's one of the most relaxing, serene places to while away an hour. I 'd travel twenty-two hours in a plane in a heartbeat, just to be back drinking coffee there, taking in their view..

This bar is located in one of the most beautiful corners of the earth. The staff is even more lovely than the scenery. I highly recommend this place. The drinks are great, location is unrivaled, and the people who work there are so warm and hospitable to a global crowd. This was one of the best experiences I had in Sicily!

We stopped in here for an aperitivo before heading somewhere else for dinner. We sat on a lovely terrace bu ourselves, everyone else was watching il position on the lower terrace and had beer and bread with roasted vegetables. The food was delicious and not all expensive. They even have a lovely little display of souvenirs that you can buy including little bowls decorated with the caper flower and little magnets. Would go again.
