Since we left a month ago I keep thinking of it as my new “happy place” as it’s visually beautiful, tasty, caring, intimate, rustic yet refined, and a place that felt like home. You’re basically outside anywhere in the property smelling the Sicilian air. Breakfast service is refined and the “snack bar” overlooking the ocean is surprisingly posh while also feeling as relaxed as someone’s deck. The spa was quite nice as well. Make sure to arrive early to enjoy the outdoor pools within the spa which are unique, rustic and soothing. And the Michelin stared restaurant and tasting menu were a special experience. The front desk staff was attentive and very savvy. Let them know when to arrange a driver to pick you up at the ferry. The hotel even rents chic electric scooters so make sure to ask in advance as they book up! Can’t wait to return.

Taste buds wer... read more A lovely experience with the course tasting menu, which ended up being more like courses by the time the additional unplanned ones were added in. Taste buds were stimulated in unusual and good ways by many of the courses. They were all great the mackerel scabbardfish and snapper were notable but then my bias for fish might be shining through! The lemon meringue was good, but perhaps not in the same league as the other dishes. Expensive, but a lovely experience.
