Description

Nestled in Malahide, That’s Amore delivers earnest Italian cooking — standout risotto and lasagne alongside dependable pizza — with an impressive gluten‑free program (separate prep for GF pizza, pasta and bread). Knowledgeable, attentive staff and brisk service create a warm, lively atmosphere suited to family meals and celebrations. Prices trend toward the high side and pizzas can occasionally be soggy, but authentic flavours and attentive service keep diners coming back.

My godson celebrated his 21st birthday here with a meal, and I was really impressed since I'd never been before. I'm not a food critic and won’t pretend to analyze whether the calamari was overcooked or if the risotto needed a bit more time. All I know is that good food is either really good or really bad, and the food at That’s Amore is definitely really good. I do recommend trying something other than pizza since everything is excellent, though the pizza is good as well. The staff are lovely and really contribute to the ambiance. I plan to return very soon. I don't usually take pictures of my food, as it annoys me when others do that. Plus, the food was so delicious that we didn’t even talk until we finished eating. So instead, here’s a picture of my dog, Teddy.

Been in for dinner with family, and even though the food is decent enough, we found the pizzas quite basic and a bit too soggy. Service is friendly and fast, but the prices are a rip-off as you'll be paying 11€ for starters and around 20€ per dish. I guess when a small restaurant decides to be over staffed with 8 or 9 people, customers will have to pay for all that extra running cost at the end. Personally, I really can't understand why they need 4 people serving tables, plus 1 for just doing coffees in such a small place...
