What Orpha Wilkinson doesn't like about The Strand Cafe:
The Strand Café and Restaurant conceptualized a dining place, provides hotel guests and residents a taste of local and international food choices, where guests and customers indulge in delectable Filipino and Continental cuisines -I'm quite disappointed with the Nilagang Beef Bulalo @Php 495 which has a strong taste of MSG, my body gets weak when the food has MSG in it. And a not so nice Asian Fried Chicken @Php 325... View all feedback.
Small selection of food but it is delicious. Place is so convenient. I will definitely recommend this hotel. The staff are very open-minded and friendly.
We were there for Valentine's Day. They really set up the mood with balloons, dim lighting, candles on the tables and a live musician. The waiters were courteous, polite, and quick to get our empty plates and refill our glasses with water. Although the buffet selection is limited, the food is good enough to satisfy a person. They have an appetizer, a salad, a soup, a pasta, main dishes, and desserts. We just have to note though that their "tomato creamy soup" is lacking in creaminess especially that they claim it to be creamy. Plus, there is a depth of flavor in their beef casserole, but there is quite something off with their beef. We will also appreciate it if they replenish the buffet table in a timely manner. Nevertheless, dining in The Strands Cafe is already a good deal for a couple especially if you'll be trying out all their selections. yogoandcream.com
The food is delicious as well as desserts. I like the crablets and halo halo. There is a wide variety of food and desserts, I also like the pastries.
I've invited sales managers to check their rooms and have lunch. This is my first time eating here. First of all, their rooms are more ok than I expected. Lunch is buffet style and Filipino food is served today. The choice is limited compared to others, but better quality. I live their okoy to make it diff, they make it small so di nakaka-umay and di matinik i love it along with cucumber salad which will also serve as a dip. Main course My favorite is the Tortang Talong. I'm not a huge fan of Talong, but I ate a lot here. The taste is different. Compare the one at home, perhaps how they prepare it. The beef pochero is great, the beef is very tender in the sauce is not that sour and salty, and the vegetables are perfectly cooked. Chicken inasal or grill is like something unique I find something sweet, what I like, others are fine. Pansit Bihon one of the best for me so far. For dessert nobody can beat Halo Halo for dessert, the Laman like beans, Monggo, Macapuno are naturally not canned Lechlan is good, not so sweet. Overall, the food is okay, but the choice is limited. The service is ok. The price is okay.
