I stay here and staff have a general knowledge of gluten free. No dedicated menu but can order separate items and staff are very accomodating.
I actually went there to eat at the peninsula lobby because of this review but was sorely disappointed when the waiters and waitresses gave blank stares when i mentioned gluten free options. They used to have a separate section in their menu from "the Farm at San Benito" which is a healthy vegan spa outside manila. However i was told they discontinued it and didn't replace it with anything similar. Id give them zero stars if possible because most 5-star hotels around the world are already sensitive to celiacs and gluten intolerant diet preferences. The manila peninsula is not. Unless of course you talk to the GM which i haven't tried but shows they're not trained or looking out for people with Gluten intolerances.
They have a great variety of buffet options for breakfast and many items on the lobby menu. They don't have a gluten free menu but they are really accommodating when you explain the gluten issue.
I visited this restaurant, and the staff has a good understanding of gluten-free options. While there isn't a dedicated gluten-free menu, you can order individual items, and the employees are very accommodating.
I visited the restaurant in the Peninsula lobby based on a recommendation, but I left feeling quite disappointed. When I inquired about gluten-free options, the staff seemed unsure and unhelpful. They used to feature a section on their menu that highlighted dishes from "The Farm in San Benito," a healthy vegan spa outside Manila. However, I learned that they no longer offer this and haven't replaced it with anything similar. I would give them zero stars if I could, as many five-star hotels worldwide are already aware of and accommodating to gluten-sensitive and celiac guests. Unfortunately, the Manila Peninsula does not appear to be one of them. Unless you're speaking directly with the general manager—whom I didn't encounter—it's evident that their staff lacks training in handling gluten intolerances.
