After visiting Burntcoat Head Park, we decided to stop here for a meal. We ordered a delicious western sandwich and fish & chips. What User doesn't like about Frieze & Roy General Store:
Avoid this place for lunch at all costs. I stopped here on the way to Burntcoat, expecting at least an edible meal based on other reviews. However, my chicken club was inedible and not fit for my dog to eat. My girlfriend's vegetable wrap was simply raw vegetables with no dressing. The western sandwich was the best I've had in a long time, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future. The only downside was the waitress's unsolicited opinions. I overheard her commenting to another couple about how much the wife enjoyed her meal because her plate was clean, and then she made a remark to me about eating the crust from my sandwich. As an adult, I prefer not to be told what to eat. While she may have intended her comments to be lighthearted, they were not well-received.
Convenience store items that you would expect in a general store, overlooking the Bay of Fundy. Great ice coffee and homemade ice cream sandwiches.
We stopped in for lunch and were not disappointed. The food was made fresh and very tasty. I had a clubhouse while my wife a burger. We would recommend you stop in on your way through Maitland.
Stopped here mid-afternoon to get a few munchies and wine for later, but couldn't resist the ice cream counter.
Historic General store with lots of interesting artefacts and displays. Also has a cafe although we only had a take out sandwich that was excellent and freshly made.
