Il Laghetto - Mahopac

Gave this restaurant a shot in the mid-summer. We wanted to have a romantic dinner by the water and that's what the restaurant has to offer. We had a little wait even though we had a reservation, server was a bit grumpy and this place is very expensive. I found the food to be mediocre at best. $20 for a 1/2 piece chilled lobster tail is quite ridiculous (special). We have no plans of returning.

Unlike many places on Easter Sunday, which tend to be overcrowded, this restaurant managed the crowd well. Although they were busy, our waiter Amanda provided outstanding service. I had the meatballs and asparagus as starters, and they were amazing. For my main course, I ordered the salmon, and it was to die for. I will definitely be returning here for my next girls' night out!

Dinner was absolutely fantastic! It was my first visit, but I will definitely be returning. The food was outstanding, and Victor ensured that our dining experience was flawless! Even though it was Valentine's Day, we never felt rushed, unlike at many other restaurants during holidays. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Thank you for a delightful meal!

When my friends and I arrived, the restaurant was empty, which made us a bit concerned. However, we were pleasantly surprised! The service and food far exceeded our expectations. The branzini was outstanding, as was the chicken scarpiello. We will definitely be returning soon.
