Trattoria Le Mandorlaie

Lovely. The Maialino was the best thing we were served in the entire week in Tuscany. The staff took a bit of winning over but we got there eventually. Good value I would return.

It looks like many others near road restaurants, hiden on the local road between vineyards and olive trees fields, but they offer excellent local food, cooked very careful with high quality home produced ingredients. Very tasty, very tuscany, very good.

What a gem, in the heart of Maremma country, stumbled upon this Trattoria and we decided to try it, the service was great, the place was full of local people enjoying their dinner and we could see from the portion sizes, the pasta dishes and the meats coming out for others that this place was a sure bet. We started off with some starters of honey and cheese and anchovies, not mixed! They were fresh and full of flavour, onto the main we went for the steak florentine, we were two and were advised it was around 800gr on the bone, in the end it was just the right size. The smiling friendly service continued all night and the wine flowed. Try the house red, or white its great. All in all we went back to eat a lunch and two dinner so we could try the other dishes on the menu. The food was all very well priced, as was the wine, all in all a good find, we cant wait to go back.

You can get local dish at their best, from antipasti till dessert. Steak can be disappointing, as, although very tasty, sometimes not too tender. Nothing wrong, steak in Maremma can be like that. Bit pricy for the quality.

Ci è stato consigliato ma davvero è stato il meno interessante posto dove abbiamo cenato durante il nostro soggiorno di notti a Magliano. La cucina casalinga sicuramente buona ma a nostro parere un pò troppo unta Anche le sole verdure abbiamo faticato a digerire perchè troppo spadellate e oliate. Non male ma c'è di meglio
