Was Carlos Betancourt at Lúa a mag?
I'll rate Luxa as 3 stars as for the food itself. Service and other details still have room to improve as Michelin recommended restaurant. But... it's not important to me as long as the food is great! View all feedback.
What Saúl Garza dislikes about Lúa:
Really disappointed, the service was really slow, they poured the full wine glass without letting me taste it, all dishes were HUGE, and not delicate or well thought out, definitely not well balanced, it was not at all michelin quality, shocked at the michelin star, they don't deserve it View all feedback.

A unique but to the excellent dinner we enjoyed: the music leftover.
Michelin star and two repsoles. it is true that this is all good, but nothing spectacular, much less surprising or innovative. the pairing is very loose, they must improve references.the very rich desserts.
Good food, we'll be back. I do not put the maximum note in any of the 3 concepts by: not giving the little point made to the meat even though we had already returned it for that; sitting on the terrace, we had not asked in the reservation, and not going to the place when requesting it. and that, for the level of 1 Michelin star, it is insufficient a single waiter to attend to the entire terrace where we were about 30 people, although it proved professional.
We were really looking forward to a good meal in lua, with a Michelin star we thought it would be a great experience. we decided to make the tasting menu. the food was decent tasting, but in the night we came, there were a few things that had been a tear. the starters were good and the pears with fee was my favorite. the boletus shell and the codhead were however somewhat unbalanced. the biggest outlet was the sucking pig. while the flesh was tender and juicy, our two were colder than lukewarm with a soggy skin. on the service side it was even for Spanish and very slow. the attention to the detail lacks. there was no offer, our hunting or moaning to a rack (we came in winter,) and some plates had visible smudges. the tables next to us had a similar experience with the attempt to get the attention of the waiter several times, but often missed. the waiter forgot a few times when we asked for more wein and had to be reminded. on a positive note the waiters were very pleasant.
Great eating, great selection of crying. on the expensive side, but worth it. average service only one person for the terrace and the inner, it is less than enough. Pity that we spent too much time waiting.

I enjoyed the food. In terms of quality, it fulfilled the expectation for a 1 star restaurant. Presentation of some dishes might be a little better. However, the service was not at the required level (and expected). First, the staff spoke English quite badly. They were not very friendly and welcoming on our arrival. I burned the water instead of water. We have two glasses of Cava as an aperitif. The bottle went empty when they poured my glass, so I got about 2/3 of the amount they already poured into the glass for the other guest. But instead of opening another bottle and overthrowing my glass, they just left it that way. You only have a la carte menu in English, but do not offer us tasting menu (which we wanted). We had to ask for it. Overall, they were not very attentive. As soon as the menu started, the service eventually became better and there were no more problems, but that did not quite for the very sloppy and unpleasant beginning, which is a shame. For the food itself, although I don't mind coming back. In any case very nice and price was very reasonable for 1 star in Spain.
Excellent dishes served in a beautiful and warm atmosphere. We took the menu a pleasure! Price/quality very balanced and good service. I've recovered this place.
First dishes are excellent. Main dishes are good, but not thirsty. The wines are good and at a reasonable price, but not exceptional. Vegetarian friendly The waiters offer good bread, but for us it was too often and we have full in front of the main dishes. All in all a great experience.
Excellent food and the wine pairing is definitely recommended. Only thing a little slow on explanation about the food will be good : . Service is excellent!
