Feedback
Moxie in downtown Madison offers a mixed dining experience. While many patrons praise its inviting ambiance, excellent service, and delicious food, some reviews indicate that inconsistencies in quality and service can occur, particularly during busy times or with larger groups. Signature dishes like the buffalo cauliflower and fresh burgers often receive positive remarks, complemented by inviting craft cocktails. However, issues such as wait times and limited menu selections have also been noted. Despite these shortcomings, many customers express a willingness to return, hopeful that Moxie will continue to improve and maintain its well-regarded atmosphere.
Moxie is a good place. the old fashion I tried was with the middle regal bourbon, and was honestly really smooth. if I only went to try the old fashion, it would be a 5-star evaluation. we came with a big party of about 9 people. I know it's not ideal for smaller restaurants, but we wanted to work it. the bar staff was quite cold in our arrival. four of us took place while the others were close. it took a bit for them to finally warm up and give better service, but that was only after 3 round drinks. the atmosphere was comfortable, but it was rejoiced by cooking oil. Smell was stained on our dresses until the next day. at the end of the night it was a pleasant experience. I understand that larger parties can overthrow a restaurant so, but it was not super busy. our money was just as good as others, and we didn't get the same service. No matter, good drinks, good people and a good situation. would definitely come back.
Love the vibe of this place! Awesome food, great drinks, attentive servers. We had a wonderful time. Will definitely be back!
Fun casual place with some end details and thoughtful culinary touches. Not up to it’s prior greatness before Covid but still very good.
Moxie was recommended by a local resident so we stopped to have dinner on our way to where we were staying. The restaurant itself is cute. It has a bar and separate tables to dine. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower and fried burrata as starters. Thecauliflower was delicious, just enough buffalo sauce and had a nice crunch. The friend burrata was ok. The fried coating justbroke off the cheese so it wasn’t really an integrated flavor. The burrata itself was delish. For dinner I had their burgerwhich was so fresh and so good! It was so filling that I couldn’t finish my fries. We also tried the fried chicken sandwich. It was crispy and the batter was well seasoned. Additionally, I had the Fall Fashion cocktail which was perfect for a winterevening since had hints of cinnamon and apple in it. I def recommend trying this place if you’re in town.
