Feedback
Moxie in downtown Madison offers a mixed dining experience. While many patrons praise its inviting ambiance, excellent service, and delicious food, some reviews indicate that inconsistencies in quality and service can occur, particularly during busy times or with larger groups. Signature dishes like the buffalo cauliflower and fresh burgers often receive positive remarks, complemented by inviting craft cocktails. However, issues such as wait times and limited menu selections have also been noted. Despite these shortcomings, many customers express a willingness to return, hopeful that Moxie will continue to improve and maintain its well-regarded atmosphere.
We loved the atmosphere. the personal was excellent. our lunch was fantastic, and so were the cocktails. can't wait to go back.
We absolutely adored the ambiance of the restaurant. The service from the staff was top-notch. Our lunch was absolutely delicious, and we also enjoyed the craft cocktails. We are eagerly looking forward to our next visit.
The decor is perfect, with their truck used creatively throughout. The food was excellent and the $9 flight of beer was a fantastic deal!
Moxie is a good place. The old fashioned I tried was with mid shelf bourbon, and was honestly really smooth. If i went only to try the old fashioned, it would be a 5 star review. We came with a large party of about 9 people. I know it’s not ideal forsmaller restaurants, but we wanted to make it work. The bar staff was pretty cold to us upon our arrival. Four of us took seatswhile the others stood in close vicinity. It took a bit for them to finally warmup and give better service, but that wasn’tuntil after 3 rounds of drinks. The atmosphere was comfortable, but it reeked of cooking oil . Smell was stained on our clothestill the next day. At the end of the night it was an enjoyable experience. I understand larger parties can overcrowd arestaurant like that, but it wasn’t super busy. Our money was just as good as others, and we did not get the same service.Regardless, good drinks, good people, and a good location. Would definitely come back.
It took too long for us to try and we regret it. Enjoyed our dinner there. From a very amicable and friendly hostess to the food and service. We had shrimp tacos, burger and chicken sandwich, everything was delicious. As appetizer we has nachos, which werefresh and flavorful. But the burger one that I liked the best from many. Wine and cocktails closed up the moment. Will be back.
