I highly recommend the chickpea paneer; it features a smooth and rich curry filling with a wonderfully crispy exterior—it's absolutely sensational. A patient of mine suggested trying the blue potatoes, and they were just as amazing; they were so delicious that I ended up losing most of them to my husband! The quesabirria is generously slathered in a luxurious mole sauce and avocado crema, filled with smoky jackfruit and grilled portobello. I thought I had discovered culinary bliss with the grilled eggplant, but then the spiked sorbet and affogato arrived, taking my dining experience to new heights. I enjoyed one of my favorite gluten-free beers, New Grist, followed by an impressively cold martini served with a delightful slushy rim. To cap it off, we were treated to a complimentary Amaro Lucano aperitif at the end of our meal. The service was outstanding; the staff was friendly and attentive, the timing was just right, and we never had to wait for our plates to be cleared between cocktails. Amazingly, the total cost was much lower than other meals I've had that were twice the price. And let’s not overlook that affogato! We thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful outdoor dining experience here, and I truly believe this place deserves world-class recognition—definitely worth the drive (and even the effort to get dressed up). I can’t wait to come back!
The atmosphere, food, and drinks at this restaurant were all exceptional. We had a delightful time in the courtyard, which was charming. We ordered several dishes to share, giving me the chance to try a substantial part of the menu, and I was impressed with everything. Many of the dishes showcased a wonderful variety of mushrooms. It's refreshing to find a restaurant that truly embraces plant-based cuisine instead of just trying to recreate meat dishes. The drink selection was also quite remarkable.
This is my third trip to Madison specifically to dine at Jardin since its reopening, and each experience has surpassed the last in terms of the food. Congratulations to the chef for crafting such a fantastic combination of flavors in every dish, complemented by excellent visual presentation. This time, my husband and I sampled the flatbread, blue potatoes, and garden salad (salade du jardin), all of which were delicious. We also decided to try the ceviche, which was outstanding—unique and fantastic; you simply must try it! I highly recommend it. They even treated us to a complimentary blackened tofu dish, which was also delicious. Finally, we indulged in the cast iron cookie served with homemade ice cream and local berry flavors, and it was nothing short of amazing! We devoured the dessert. Kudos to this restaurant for elevating vegan cuisine to such a high level.
This restaurant is truly beautiful, offering elegant and delicious dishes—all of which are plant-based. Even the omnivores I've dined with at Jardin have enjoyed it just as much as I have as a vegan. There are a few minor issues with the service; sometimes the dishes arrive at the table not as hot as you'd expect, but the staff is lovely, friendly, and attentive. The outdoor garden is absolutely delightful during the warmer months, while the indoor dining area is cozy and has a charming atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant!
