Description

Dumpling Haus at Hilldale Mall offers bright, minimalist counter-service dining with an open kitchen and chalkboard menu. Dishes arrive as ready in to-go containers and guests clear their own tables. Many dumplings and bao impress—especially the curry beef bun and fried dumplings—while some items (shrimp dumplings, spring rolls, certain rice dishes) are uneven. Vegetarian Szechuan noodles are a highlight. Prices feel upscale for a counter spot, but the convenient, flavorful menu makes it a popular post-shopping stop.

My husband and I came here for dinner, we were looking for something more low key and something yummy. We decided to give this place a try. We are do happy we did!!! The food was delicious, the bao, dumplings, spring rolls were so good! Yes- they bring it out in to go containers, but I personally loved this. since you pay up front, you don't have to go ask for containers and dirty a dish which they would then have to wash- I can appreciate just giving the food in containers to go. We also ordered some extra food to take home because it was so good! [we dont live super close]. Highly recommend!

Okay place to get some Chinese flavor in the area. Had soup noodle and taco boa or gua boa where most of the places call it . The soup noodle was quite innovative with a lot of veggies, however, the flavor of the broth could be stronger. Taco boa aka gua boa is actually quite good with juicy pork belly. The taste could elevate a lot if they add some grind peanut 花生粉 or 花生糖 . Over all, not too shabby if you live around hilldale and don't own a car. Would probably try their dumplings next time. Another thing is they serve with take out boxes whether you are dining in or to go. Would love to have actual plates and utensils next time dining in.

Overall, it was ok. Clean establishment and friendly service. Food was mediocre. Chicken fried rice had plus of shredded chicken, but was bland tasting. Spring rolls were mushy inside. Shrimp dumplings said 10 to an order which there were, but so small, it was like 4 at most other places. Haus dumpling, chicken, was basically what other places label as goyza. Couldn't really tell it was chicken, but was sort of bland. Considering prices, was expecting better. No plans to go back.

My favorite restaurant in my hometown! The Haus Noodle Soup is the best, and I can't forget about the pork dumplings!

I ordered the chicken lo mein and pork siu mai, and unfortunately, both dishes lacked any flavor.
