Alchemy - Madison
Alchemy
Description
Alchemy offers a menu that caters to both meat-eaters and vegans/vegetarians, with delicious burgers and house-made vegan options. The portions are generous, and the craft beer selection is extensive. While the desserts looked tempting, the reviewer was too full to try them. The only drawback is that the restaurant only accepts cash or checks. Overall, customers consistently find the food to be good, though not necessarily exceptional. Many appreciate the attentive service and well-informed staff. Alchemy is praised as a great option for groups with diverse dietary preferences. It is also noted to be kid-friendly. Despite some minor issues like parking and seating, Alchemy remains a solid choice for a satisfying meal.

Had a vegan sandwich with their house made chickpea almond veggie patty. Had a vegan aioli on it and pickle relish. The sweet potato fries are delicious and worth the upcharge. Also has a great cocktail menu. Went before seeing a show at the Barrymore just down the street. Great option for groups who have someone that wants a meat option, and as a backup if other places nearby are busy.
Seems like there are two vegan options a Burger and a coconut curry. The burger was great with all of the toppings! Nice to see vegan sauces on the burger too seems like they care about the details. Hard to recommend this place with Green Owl (vegan restaurant) next door. But you can’t go wrong with Alchemy.
It's pretty dang good. I will agree with one of the reviewers. Everything is excellent but for some reason I'm not dying to go back. The beer and food is great but somethings a bit non invitational. Maybe it's the parking or too many seats and its cramped inside. I will return but I wish it was a place I could see myself at more often. On a different note very kid friendly on a Sunday night and my family had a very comfortable and well served dinner.
This restaurant is always coming up with delicious dishes. You should definitely pay a visit.
My wife and I recently ordered dinner at this restaurant. The kimchi reuben we got was delicious, with tender meat and a great kimchi flavor. However, being Korean ourselves, we both thought it could have used more kimchi to make it even better. The quality of the kimchi was good though. For Korean diners, we recommend asking for extra kimchi. The fish taco was just okay, with the cabbage salad as a topping being more enjoyable than the fish itself. The restaurant has an outdoor patio area, and although our food was a bit slow to come out, the service was otherwise good.
