We were there for just one day and we wanted to eat something tipical. So we ordered some polenta e spezzatino. It was delicious, but the portion was little. For 28 swiss franks you can eat much more. We were still hungry so we had to order a pizza ending up spending more. By the way it was tasty, but after a day of sport a good portion would have been much more satisfing.
Very good food, friendly and normal price. Excellent semifredo! In same building is enoteca witch vino An other specialities.
Meat speciality but serves fish, too. You van choose pizzoccheri, meat, fish, dessert. A lot of types of wine.
Used to come here 20 years ago when it was commonly referred to as Fausto's and they made the best pitzochle around. Its a little changed, no sign of Fausto, service is not as friendly (ok it was tourist season and we're just tourists) and we were eating the Bar area as the restaurant area was closed for lunch. A little disappointing compared to the fantastic meals we had in the past. Worth another try though in the future
We stopped off in June and made a special journey in September to try the restaurant at lunchtime as we had looked into the restaurant and it looked professional and the menu looked good quality rustic. On arrival we were squashed into a back table at the back of the bar. The food was hearty but the experience was not as we had been told in June. We were then told that we should book for evening dinner to eat in the restaurant. This we did about a week later. On arrival the restaurant was in darkness and again told to take a table in the bar. There was no real service as the family and friends watched the football on a large flatscreen whilst we were eating.
